Everyone is invited to join us at a new venue for this years family games weekend, Common Lane, Boundary, Near Cheadle, Staffordshire. ST10 2NU, where we are the guests of our very own Boundary Bangers Charles & Jolie Carnall (directions below).

Camping is available Friday and Saturday nights @ £5.00 per night, which can be paid there, and there will be toilets on site. Please note that there is no water on site, but Chaz will willingly fill containers at home. Please do not bring open fires, an area will be available for us all to gather around at fire on the evenings – bring wood if you can.

This is a fun event for the whole family, consisting of traditional running games, welly wanging, egg tossing, limbo, or whatever other silly things Dawn comes up with. These will take place on the Saturday afternoon/evening and maybe on the Sunday. If you do not have a child, don’t worry as we are all family at S&S.

Jolie has offered to do a taxi service to a local pub sometime on Saturday, either before or after the games (last year it was so hot we could not do exercise till it cooled down in the evening), which is near a river, canal and steam railway, and has 22 different ciders and a slush machine!

There are two pubs within walking distance, both serving food but you will need to book in for both:-

  • The Red Lion at Boundary – 01538 753476 (the closest)
  • Royal Oak at Dilhorne – 01782 392774

and there is a fantastic park just down the road with an excellent kids play ground – well worth a visit (ST10 2PQ).

The weather is still set fair, so why not come and join us for a relaxed weekend away, with no early mornings, revving motors, or spannering to do.

Directions – from Blythe Bridge head towards Cheadle on the A521, through a village called Forsebrook, carrying on towards Cheadle. After a couple of miles you come to a crossroads (this is the postcode) and the Red Lion pub is on your right. Turn left at the crossroads and the site is 200 metres on the left. Any problems ring Chaz on 07958 014899.

Hope to see you there.
