Staffs & Shrops are proud to announce the launch of their first ever Comp Safari Navigator Championship for 2026.
This brand-new championship is open exclusively to Staffs & Shrops (S&S) members and will run as a competitive annual league across seven OPEN events.
The championship will take place over a five-month period, featuring six one-day events and one two-day event, with six rounds counting towards the final standings.
All events will continue to run as Safari Plus, allowing average speeds of up to 50mph, and will include Motorsport UK Rescue and Recovery on site.
Regulations:
- Entry for the first year will be free of charge.
To take part, competitors must register using the link at the bottom of the page. - The championship will consist of 6 one-day competitive safari rounds and 1 two-day competitive safari, with the best 6 results counting towards the final championship standings.
- Round eligibility:
- To score championship points, you must be navigating for a registered 2026 CSC driver.
- Throughout the seven rounds, navigators may compete with any CSC-registered driver, but only one registered driver per event.
- Team entries:
- Two navigators may enter as a team.
- Teams may share the navigator seat across events.
- Points system:
- Points will be awarded based on overall finishing position at each event.
- Official points will also be awarded to members performing roles such as Marshal, Clerk of the Course (CoC), Chief Scrutineer, and Timekeeping.
- Retirement points will also be allocated.
- If entry is placed after the first round you unfortunately will miss out on points from the first round.
Championship Awards:
The Navigator Championship winners will be announced at the annual Dinner Dance, where the top three overall navigators will be presented with trophies.
Points:
The number of overall points which will be awarded to the first placed driver overall is 70 and the next highest placed will receive 62 and so on. This will be based on the registered drivers
listed in the final results. These will be called “Overall points” as follows:
1st – 70 points
2nd – 62 points
3rd – 56 points
4th – 52 points
5th – 50 points
6th – 49 points
7th – 48 points
8th – 47 points
9th – 46 points
10th – 45 points
11th – 44 points
12th – 43 points
13th – 42 points
14th – 41 points
15th – 40 points
16th – 39 points
17th – 38 points
18th – 37 points
19th – 36 points
20th – 35 points
21st – 34 points
22nd – 33 points
23rd – 32 points
24th – 31 points
Finisher (25th or below) – 30 points
Start, no finish (retired) – 15 points
